Co-founder of CellOrigin. George Church is a professor in the Department of Genetics at Harvard Medical School and the head of the Personal Genome Project, which provides the world's only open access information on the human genome, environment, and trait data (GET). His innovation has contributed to almost all "next generation" DNA sequencing methods and companies (CGI-BGI, Life, Illumina, Nanopore). His team was the first to apply CRISPR/Cas9 technology to mammalian cells, especially iPSC, and established the first iPSC disease model using CRISPR and William Pu. These innovations gave birth to start-up companies in the fields of medical diagnosis, synthetic biology, and organ transplantation.
